We don’t be believe in the “go to the max” and get shut down by your own central nervous system (CNS) sorta program vibe. Instead, you use a level of effort that is comfortable for your body to stay in the ‘no threat’ zone.
This program gives you the tools to communicate with your CNS and make sure that it always feels safe. You remain in your comfort zone, thus perpetuating the fastest and safest possible progress to take place.
We have a saying: “The strength to lift every weight you’ve NEVER lifted is already there.” You just need to find a way to release it. You’re not building something new; you convince your CNS to allow you to use more of what’s already inside you.
You’ll begin training in a place of extreme comfort. Then we skillfully expand what is comfortable without ever going too far. Programming and mathematical manipulation, allows your comfort zone to expand, effortlessly pushing strength and performance higher and higher.
Possibly the biggest misconception in physical training is that in order to make any significant progress in any given time period (let alone just 12 weeks) we must first ‘leave our comfort zone’. The irony is, once you fully understand how the body BEST makes progress, you quickly realise that the polar opposite is actually true.

I recently relocated here to Fuquay-Varina, NC from Long Island, NY to continue my coaching career with the team at Original Strength Institute.
I began my career in the health and fitness industry in 2000, with a passion for Kung Fu. The art of the Kung Fu system drew me in, and I spent ten years practicing and teaching the intricacies of Chinese Martial Arts. In that time he acquired the rank of 4th Level Black Sash. In 2008, I discovered kettlebells, which started a journey of acquiring certifications in the use of barbells, sandbags, and even my own bodyweight in the form of the Progressive Calisthenics Certification. “All you really need to get strong is gravity.”
I take every opportunity to learn, and realized quickly that incorporating movement into strength programs only made my clients stronger. With certifications like: Russian Kettlebell Certification (2010), Certified Functional Movement Specialist (2011), Primal Move Instructor(2013), Maximum Impact Barbell Instructor (2013), Strongfirst Kettlebell Certification (2013), Original Strength Certified Instructor (2014), Certified Functional Strength Coach (2016) Pain Free Performance Specialist (2018), Progressive Calisthenics Certified Instructor (2020) and many more, I’ve been able to learn so much about the body and how to help ANY BODY.
Being able to deliver the world famous Amazing 12 Program here at Original Strength Institute is a exciting and an honor and I can’t wait to get going with my first wave here in North Carolina in 2023.
