John’s 90 Day Journey

It’s amazing what focusing for 90 days can do for the body! Take a look at what John has to say about his OSi transformation.

John’s 90 Day Journey

The pictures you see span from June 15, 2015 – September 15, 2015. These ninety days were about so much more than losing 23lbs and getting stronger and faster. This was a time of transformation for me. I am grateful to OSI for launching what I consider to be a new healthy and happy lifestyle.

I am a numbers guy so I thought I would share the data points that led to my results.

Weight

I started out at 203lbs (I am 6’1” tall) week 1. This is the most I ever weighed and my own body felt unfamiliar to me, but at the same time I had learned to accept it. My acceptance was due in large part to my bad back, shoulder knees and ankles.

Workout Schedule

I was on a 3 day schedule at OSI. I worked out one weekend day on my own (usually cardio of some kind) to supplement my OSI workouts. I increased to 6 days a week after my initial 30 days. On the days I didn’t workout, and on a lot of the day that I did, I would make sure to walk at least 10,000 steps. This proved to be much easier that I thought it would be.

Diet

I was very strict about my diet and made sure that I was at 700 calorie deficit per day at a minimum. My average caloric intake was 1500-1800 per day. I did allow for the occasional cheat day once a week, this was really a cheat meal and not a day. High protein (half of my calories) and enough carbs to get through my workouts, along with a healthy amount of veggies.

Resets

I was fanatical about doing my resets every day, sometimes more than once.

Change in Health and Fitness (don’t skip this part)

Before OSI I had bad shoulders, rigid back and neck, a bum knee, and painful pronated ankles. These became barriers to my sticking with exercise because it just hurt. I don’t meant the normal burn and aches that come with exercise, but pain that made my body feel broken. I remember my first conversation with Tim Anderson, he told me that our bodies are meant to be healthy and that means they can heal. I was very skeptical, but I was getting so sick of being out shape that I was willing to try anything.

In the first week my neck was almost 100% better. I had a range of motion that I hadn’t experienced in years. Then my weak and achy knees began enduring more than ever before and feeling strong. In the third week my shoulders were stronger, and more flexible than I ever remember them being. I used to be afraid of stretching my right shoulder too far, because it would pop or hurt. After three weeks it felt so much better and I wasn’t afraid to push them to their limits.

By far the change that surprised me the most had nothing to do with strength, stamina or weight loss. My whole life I have had IBS and tried changing diets – gluten free, no dairy…you name it. I had every medical test possible, but nothing ever took the pain in my gut away. At the time of my writing this, I have had zero stomach pain since the first week at OSI.

This was the ultimate evidence to me that OSI heals. I am a firm believer based on my experience that our bodies want to be healthy, and we let our lives and choices get in the way of the amazing power our bodies possess. I have been in the process of getting out of my body’s way and letting it become what it was designed to be. Don’t miss out on being amazed by your own body when it’s tapped into its true potential.

I want to thank Dani, Tim, and Chris for all they have done for me.
